It is with great sorrowthat we share our sad news
My partner of 32 years,
Lisa Dawn Avery, born in North Little Rock on May 10, 1958, passed away November 14, 2011 at her home in Monticello, Arkansas after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Lisa spent over 30 years breeding and raising show dogs. All were great danes. She was a partner in LJ's Danehill kennel , as well as my life partner and dearest friend. Lisa's dogs were one of the most fulfilling parts of her life. Her spiritual life was influenced by the foundation of life church. Lisa will be sincerely missed by many , but most of all missed by myself.
It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart , that I make this decision, however...
LJ's Danehill , LLC will be closing there doors in 2012 and no longer be breeding great danes. I know Lisa would support this decision I have made.
I would like to thank all of our friends for giving us such great support and a true love and understanding for this breed. And thank all of the owners , of our many puppies over the years, for giving them such special care. Its been a wonderful adventure but all things , one day must end. Im sad , yet grateful for this breed.....

Because of the decision
we have made on closing our doors.
We have a few available dogs that we are offering as older pets. They have a small adoption fee and must be de-sexed, I would really like to just see them live out their lives , on someone couch or bed , Just like I want to now.
Please inquire on their availability if you have a interest in a older companion.
